I Love vegetables esp when its mixed vegetables. Btw this blog is intended to say that I do try cooking….I know where the kitchen is at home…once in a way I do help mom with cooking!!!
Potatoes - 50g
French beans - 50g
Carrots - 50g
Cauliflower - 50g
Green peas - 50g
Curry leaves
Green Chillies - 2
Onion - 1 meduim sized
Tomato - 1 meduim sized
Turmeric power
Chilli powder - 2 tsp
Garam masala (optional)
Lemon 1 (optional)
Refined oil, jeera n mustard seeds for seasoning
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves for garnishing
Method
Cut the potatoes, French beans, carrots and cauliflower into small pieces
Add 4-5tsp of oil and heat. Add mustard, jeera and curry leaves. Then add the finely chopped onions and chilli.
Sauté the onions till pink. Then add a pinch turmeric powder,
This is followed by finely cut tomato,
Then add all the finely cut vegetables and the green peas
Add the chilli powder (and garam masala if required)
Mix. Sprinkle lil water to cook. Close the vessel and allow to cook in low flame
After 5 mins add salt to taste
Mix them again and allow it to cook for 5 more mins
Switch off the flame and then sprinkle the chopped coriander
Squeeze lemon if required
Serve hot with roti, fulka, puri, bread or make French rolls
