Mathur Hanging Bridge is also commonly known as Thotti Palam. The Mathur Hanging Trough, a bridge trough over the Pahrali River, is the highest, as well as the longest, aqueduct in Asia. It is located in Mathur, a hamlet 3 km from Thiruvattar in the Kanyakumari District of Tamil Nadu, India. It is one of the important tourist spots in the district. The trough was constructed in 1966 as a drought relief measure across the river Pahrali. Its purpose is to carry water for irrigation from one side of a hill to the other. It is seven 2.1 m high

Silky mindful sky
Hidden conscience, worlds exposed
Investing nature
Where oblique new clouds create
New essence to heavens life!!

Far out in the wilderness
The woods, the hills echo a voice
A voice calling me to come closer
To embrace the mysteries of nature
To know her deepest secrets embedded within

View From the Hanging Bridge

Complexities and curves ebb and flow like the river,
Women and nature are one, smooth and sexy
This feminized beauty of the world in which I live,
With her ever green pastures, she has so much to give;
Exotic visions and changeable weather (like her mood)
She entices me in to explore and endeavor

Nature- an immortal beauty,
Like nymph Calypso with all her charms
tries to imprison me forever
So that I may never back to where I belong
The enchanting jungle of mine...
